Pilot 12 PLUS Backup Power Supply/CPAP Battery is compatible with Philips Respironics (Dreamsation and Respironics S60)
It can be used with your CPAP machine in order to prevent the therapy from stopping in the case of an overnight power outage. With Pilot 12 PLUS, you can rest assured that you won’t be woken in the middle of the night to find that your CPAP machine is not running. If the power is interrupted at night, your CPAP machine will drive power from your Pilot 12 PLUS without stopping. Once the power comes back on, the machine will continue using the power from your power outlet.
Pilot 12 PLUS can be also used as a PORTABLE CPAP BATTERY during travel. Your CPAP Machine will run off the battery when the regular power source is not available in situations such as camping, road trips, and during air travel. Pilot 12 PLUS comes with additional features that are essential during power outages such as a bright LED light and a USB port which can be used for charging cell phones and other handheld devices.
Included: Battery, 90Watt battery charger, Output cable, Three connecter tips to accomodate the CPAP being used, Battery bag
CPAP Backup Use
To ensure that your CPAP machine does not stop working in the case of a power outage, you can use the Pilot 12 PLUS as a permanent backup power supply. You need to plug in your charger into the power outlet and into the battery “input jack” the same way as you would do when recharging the battery. In the Output jack, plug in the Output cable with the proper tip to fit your CPAP machine, and plug in your CPAP device. Use your CPAP machine as usual.
HELPFUL TIPS: When the CPAP is not being used (during the day), please ensure to switch the battery off by using an on/off switch on the front panel. This will prolong the life of your battery.
WARNING: NOT COMPATIBLE WITH RESMED S9/S10 series devices or older. But CAN BE COMPATIBLE WITH RESMED S8 WITH SPECIAL ADAPTER CABLE
CPAP Battery Runtime: up to 16 hours depending on CPAP machine and pressure settings
CAUTION! Fully charge your Pilot Battery before storage and at least EVERY 6 MONTHS thereafter. Failure to do this will be considered negligence and will void the warranty.
