Vader mask does make you attractive!
A Darth Vader style mask (is often humorously how the older CPAP masks have been described) which are used to treat sleep apnoea - a severe night time breathing disturbance - which is undoubtedly effective but not particularly becoming. However users may take heart in research published in the journal of clinical sleep medicine that found the treatment makes patients more attractive in general.
Continuous positive airway pressure CPAP machines are used to ease snoring and reduce blood pressure by keeping the airways open during sleep.
The patient wears a mask which provides a constant flow of air throughout the night. Volunteers were shown pictures of 20 adult patients and using a formalised scale all were judged more attractive after the treatment than before as they were more rested.
