Imagine a CPAP Mask so Light and Comfortable You Actually Forget You are Wearing it!

Because SleepWeaver™ is so comfortable, it allows you to increase your hours in CPAP sleep therapy and helps you continue to get the full benefit of your therapy.
You'll wake up renewed and refreshed after a great night's sleep. The SleepWeaver is a revolutionary design in nasal CPAP masks.
Composed of cloth material, the mask inflates around the nose and pushes gently against the CPAP user's face.

The mask's cushion/balloon is attached to a three part headgear and requires minimal tension to maintain a consistent seal.
Unlike most masks, there are no rigid components to prevent CPAP users from sleeping on their back, side, or stomach.
The cloth is not sticky, tacky and does not create allergic reactions.
All this minimizes skin abrasion and helps prevent pressure marks from forming.

Noise and weight are both reduced in the SleepWeaver design. Even though air is inflating the balloon, the noise is considerably reduced.
Since there are no rigid buckles, clips or a faceplate on the mask, it can seem as if there was no mask at all.

Features

  • Reduced Air Leakage: The SleepWeaver is made of cloth and has no rigid parts that come into contact with the skin.
It inflates to form a balloon of air that pushes gently against the patient's face to form a seal. Because the cloth is flexible and follows the exact shape of each individual patient's face, air leakage is reduced.
  • Reduced Pressure from Headgear: Very little tension is required in the headgear to achieve a good seal, which is formed by the air pressure inside the mask instead.
Because the need to continually tighten the mask to achieve a good seal is eliminated, SleepWeaver users no longer experience pressure sores on the bridge of the nose or other parts of the face.
  • More Sleep Positions: SleepWeaver allows patient to sleep on their back, side, or stomach without rigid buckles, clips or faceplates digging into their skin.
Because the mask is light and soft, it stays positioned all night even as the patient changes sleep positions.
Users report waking up in the middle of the night and wondering if it is still on their face, only to find it gently and quietly in place.
  • No More Skin Irritation: The cloth material is very smooth and breathable.
So while it forms a very good seal, it does not feel sticky or tacky on the skin and it does not create allergic reactions.
There is nothing that goes inside of the nose to irritate or dry out the mucosal tissues inside the nose.
The mask contains no latex or silicone.
  • Less Noise: CPAP mask noise comes from three sources: the exhalation valve, leaks and turbulence inside the mask.
The SleepWeaver has a series of small exhalation holes that eliminate air "whooshing" or "whistling" sound.
The mask fits with very few leaks, reducing the sudden air escape noises.
And the mask is designed so that the air turbulence inside the mask is minimized, reducing the last source of mask noise.
  • SleepWeaver™ ADVANCE is the only 100% cloth CPAP mask on the market today.
  • You can watch TV or read in bed again - wear your eyeglasses comfortably with the mask.

How to Fit Your SleepWeaverTM Soft Cloth CPAP Mask to Achieve the Best Seal

Your SleepWeaver Advance Mask is attached to headgear.
The headgear has three adjustment points - one on each side of the mask and one on the Head Strap.
A swivel connector attaches to the hose from your CPAP or Bi-Level machine.

Fitting the Mask

  • Remove your SleepWeaver Advance Mask from the packaging.
  • Connect the tubing from your CPAP or Bi-Level machine to the Swivel Connector on the front of the mask.
  • Turn on your CPAP or Bi-Level machine at your prescription pressure.
  • When the mask inflates, hold the headgear with both hands, position the mask on your nose, and pull the headgear over your head.
Make sure that the cup of the mask is centered over your nose, and align the Head Strap to the center of your head.
  • Pull the headgear over the back of your head until the Neck Strap is snug just below your ears.
  • If you experience leaks, adjust the mask as described on the following page.
  • Lie down in your normal sleeping position. If any leaks occur, readjust the mask.

Adjusting for Leaks

If you experience leaks, try these steps:

  1. With your CPAP or Bi-Level machine on and at your prescription pressure, pinch the portion of the mask directly over your nose, pull the mask slightly away from your face, towards your feet, and gently release.
  2. If you experience leaks from the sides of the mask, adjust the Neck Straps by unhooking the tab from the strap and pulling the straps out to tighten the mask, then re-latching the tab to the strap.
  3. If you experience leaks into your eyes, adjust the Head Strap.
  4. At times it is possible to stop leaks and get a better fit by loosening the mask just a bit, then repeating Step 1.

SleepWeaver Mask users have sent us these tips that have made fitting much easier for them.

Tip # 1

  • I found that if I put the mask on before turning on the blower and making sure my nose was completely in the opening - then turning on the blower and making small tugs if there were any leaks worked best for me.
  • I have never been able to get rid of all the leaks if I start with the blower on.
  • I also went to a light weight hose to keep the weight of the hose from pulling on the Mask.

Tip # 2

  • I had an idea which seems to have panned out - which is relaxing the jaw while fitting the mask, since many people's facial conformations change once the jaw is relaxed.
I tried the mask again last night, only I relaxed my jaw as I was fitting the mask. And it worked really well! Its comfortable, quiet and excellent for side sleeping!

Tip #3

  • Turn the machine on and position your nose in the opening comfortably.
  • Then stop the machine.
  • Hold the material at the top and bottom of the nose opening - with your nose in the hole - all the while pulling the material at the top and bottom in their opposite directions.
  • Then pull the material the opposite directions left and right - with your nose in the opening still.
  • Make sure the elastic part is on the center of your forehead.
  • Then turn the machine back on.

Tip # 4

  • Place mask on face without the machine.
  • Turn on air.
  • Pull mask down and away at a 30 degree angle.
  • Bring mask back to your face and push slightly. (this seems to seat it a bit more)
  • Wait just a minute or two - the mask begins to mold to your face and upon lying down, the little leaks disappear.
